If you have trash service with Republic Services you should have recently received a letter informing you of the involuntary transfer of your service to AAA.
Beginning October 1st, AAA will takeover the residential routes in Independence. Cited in the letter, it was no longer feasible for Republic Services to continue operating residential routes in Independence.
You can continue to use you current trash cart as AAA has no immediate plans to replace them. They are offering those impacted the month of October for free and then will bill in 2 month increments. The letter didn’t include the pricing to expect for your 1st payment.
